Update: Police find West Kelowna teen safe and sound

The teenage girl who was reported missing on December 12, 2016 has been located.

The West Kelowna RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 14-year-old girl reported missing has been located and she is safe and sound. Thanks to the media and public for your assistance.

RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing West Kelowna teen.

14-year-old Rebecca Duncan was last seen on Dec. 12, 2016.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says there is nothing to indicate foul play at this time and police believe she is either in Kelowna or West Kelowna.

“Since Rebecca’s disappearance, police have followed up on several leads, however Rebecca remains missing,” says O’Donaghey.

“Police are very concerned for Rebecca’s health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for her to be out of contact for this long.”

Duncan is described as;

  • First Nations female
  • 14 years old
  • Five foot four inches
  • 119 pounds
  • Long brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Nose piercing

She was last seen wearing;

  • Black leggings
  • White suede winter jacket
  • Black leather purse and
  • Black shoes
