We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Bret Boychuk. Bret was born in Kelowna on June 12, 1982, and passed away suddenly from cancer on October 12, 2023, at the young age of 41. He passed away peacefully at home with all of us at his side. He will be greatly missed by his father and mother, Jack and Sylvia and his only sister Britnee, her husband Ben and his two children Mitch and Carly. He also leaves behind his co-workers, aunts and uncles, cousins, neighbours and family friends.
We dragged him along to 5 different countries for family vacations, but the 2 he never crossed off his bucket list were Japan and Australia. Bret loved birds, mostly his cockatiels: Sandy, Sunny, Kiwi and Mango, and all the wild birds he came across. He also loved Mustangs, James Bond, movies and video games.
This won't be easy, but we will get through this. We will never forget you and will always miss your unique sense of humour and that awesome smile. We want to thank everyone for the support, kind words, text messages, phone calls, visits, cards, snacks, flowers, soups and HUGS. We are so lucky to have such wonderful neighbours, friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
