Ray Mabbett

January 10, 1947 - May 27, 2023
It is with great sadness that the Mabbett family announces that Ray Mabbett passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2023 at the age of 76.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Wendy, his brother Bruce (Beverly), his children, Rayna (Dan), Marie (Joel), and Becca (Jade), and his grandchildren, Karley, Jacob, Natalie, Tyler, Emily, and Molly. Sadly, he was joined by his son Mike (Lana), early the following day.
Ray was born in New Westminster, BC, to Bruce and Priscilla Mabbett on January 10, 1947. He grew up with a sense of adventure and passion for life.
He loved his family more than anything and not much brought him more joy than delighting in his children and cheering them on in whatever they did. His love also extended out to anyone he encountered, and he quickly made friends wherever he went or worked.
He was deeply committed to his faith in Jesus and focused on living his faith in action. He gave generously of his time, resources, and energy and was a prayer warrior for those he loved.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 9th, at 4PM, at Springfield Funeral Home in Kelowna, BC.
At his request, this will be an informal gathering with a short service and refreshments.
