Ricardo Nunes Alves

In loving memory ~
Ricardo Nunes Alves passed away tragically and suddenly of a suspected pulmonary embolism on July 17th while on vacation with his family in Portugal at the age of 44. Ricardo leaves behind his beloved wife Lindsey, cherished children, Dominic and Olivia, his parents Joe and Maria Alves, brothers Fernando (Tamara), and Carlos (Coni) and nephews Cruz and Gabriel along with an abundance of dear friends, both old and new. Ricardo spent his life in Kelowna, playing soccer for the Okanagan Challenge in his late teens and working in the construction industry since he was 16, eventually building his own company, Alves Bros Custom Homes, for which he was voted the best home builder in Kelowna for this year. He loved life. Ricardo was a loyal and loving husband, friend and father. A dedicated and driven man, focused on success, building his company and loving his family. Ricardo was one of a kind. He had an infectious smile, a robust laugh and a twinkle in his eye when he winked at you. An accomplished businessman, and a true friend, Ricardo was loved everywhere he went. He cherished his children beyond words and his passion, drive and charm will never be forgotten. Funeral Mass is to be held on Wednesday, August 2nd at 10:00 am at St. Charles Garnier Parish, 3645 Benvoulin Road with a Celebration of Life to be held at Coast Capri Hotel, 1171 Harvey Ave, at 12:00 pm.
