DOYLE, Rufus John
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rufus John Doyle (John) at the age of 95. John passed away quietly in his home Saturday, January 7, 2017 with his son and daughter by his side. He is predeceased by his wife and partner Mary Geraldine (Gerry); son David, daughter Joe Anne (Joa); six granddaughters; nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. He was an only child but considered his wife’s siblings as his own. He was in the RCAF for 25 years. In his long and full life, he was a pattern maker, airman, carpenter, photographer, rock hound, builder, electrician, silversmith and more; but he will be remembered mostly as a caring friend and family man. His many friends and family will greatly miss his smile, his sense of humour and kind support. Prayers will be held on Friday, January 13th at 7:00 pm; followed by a Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 14th at 10:30 am, both at St Pius X Church, 1077 Fuller Avenue, Kelowna, BC.
