On Friday March 23, 2018, Bill left us unexpectantly in Kelowna General Hospital; the same hospital he was born in 83 years ago.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Rita; his 3 daughters, Brenda North (Grant), Allison Ungaro (late Don), Lynda Baxter (Brad); 6 grandsons, Donnie Ungaro (Jill), Mike Ungaro (Courtney), Tyler North (Amanda), Shawn Baxter (Sam), Jared North, Ryan Baxter (Leanne); 1 granddaughter, Kristy Ungaro; his 6 great granddaughters Maniya, Sophie, Olive, Maddy, Emma, Zoe; 2 great grandsons Oliver, Mason. These great grandchildren were the biggest joy in his life.
Bill is also survived by his 3 sisters Lola Lavier, Betty Daft, Judy Bernert; sister-in-law Marilyn Newman & numerous nieces, nephews and life long friends.
Predeceased by brother Philip, infant-daughter Debbie, parents Ivor & Elva, twin brother Ross, son- in-law Don Ungaro, & brothers-in-law Aubrey Lavier, George Daft, Frank Bernert.
Bill was a lifetime member of the Rutland Lions Club, past Director of the Credit Union, past Director of Rutland Water Works, he loved to give back to the community, and volunteering. Anyone who knew Bill, knew his love of cooking, baking and fishing but most of all his family & friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life, Wednesday March 28, from 2 pm-4 pm at The Okanagan Chateau (2100 Benvoulin Crt). Parking available at the Mission Creek Alliance Church in the North Parking Lot.
