It’s baseball season in Kelowna and on top of the Kelowna Falcons, there’s other action going on around town.
Friday, June 2 is opening day for the Kelowna Men’s Baseball League (KMBL), a six-team league featuring university-level players to players that are playing baseball for the first time. This summer is the third season for the KMBL.
Each team is playing a 10-game schedule this season (a home-and-home against each team) with the season concluding the weekend of Aug. 11-13. The six teams this season are the Pirates, Expos, Padres, Astros, Jays, and the newest team to the league, the Dodgers. The Pirates were the KMBL championships in 2022.
The 2023 season begins on Friday with the Pirates taking on the Dodgers at 5:30 and the Expos facing off against the Astros at 8 p.m.
All games are at Elks Stadium this season.
