Armstrong wins Rowcliffe Cup for third year in a row

In front of a large Armstrong crowd, the Kelowna Raiders saw their senior lacrosse season come to an end on Wednesday night.

The hometown Shamrocks knocked off a game Raiders’ team 8-6 at the NorVal Centre to win the Rowcliffe Cup for the third straighy year.

The ‘Rocks swept the best-of-five series three games to none.

Kelowna was in the game until the final buzzer, keeping Armstrong within reach for the entire game,

The Kelowna defence managed to keep Armstrong’s big shooters mostly in check while controlling the ball in Armstrong’s end.

Down by a goal in the third, the Raiders were unable to tie it up as the Shamrocks went on for the two-goal victory.

Vic Wiens and Ryan Lindstrom each scored a pair for the Raiders, with singles coming from Dwayne Briden and Joe Brown.
