Scotiabank came to help out the Salvation Army in a big way during the holiday season.

On Dec. 9, 2023, during the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle campaign, Scotiabank employees from around Kelowna went and volunteered at three kettle locations. During that time, the banking institution, through its Scotia Team Community Program, was matching donations up to $15,000.

Through that day, $28,301 was raised at the three locations. With the matching donations, $43,301 was raised in total.

“Scotiabank has partnered with us since 2011,” said Kelowna Salvation Army mayor Mark Wagner. “We’re grateful to Scotiabank and its staff for their generous support of our work in this community.”
