Love for Kelowna Day returns on Saturday, May 25 to pay tribute to the tourism industry in the Central Okanagan.

The fifth annual event will feature promotions from local businesses, activities at the Visitor centre, social media challenges, and the chance to win tourism experiences and products valued at more than $1,700.

More than 20 businesses have created Love for Kelowna offers.

Highlights include 50 per cent off pizza and select wines all day at Oak + Cru, 25 per cent off 2024 bookings with Lakeside Eco-Sports and Kelowna Concierge, and 25 per cent off room bookings now through August 31 at Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport.

“We look forward to seeing both visitors and residents participate in Love for Kelowna Day and support the local businesses and experiences that make our destination Canada’s favourite four-season playground,” said Lisanne Ballantyne, president, and CEO of Tourism Kelowna.

Kelowna’s $2.4 billion visitor economy attracts 2.2 million visitors annually and generates 12,630 jobs, $226 million in tax contributions, and $540 million in direct spending at local businesses.

“The majority of businesses in our tourism industry are small to mid-size enterprises, owned or staffed by residents,” Ballantyne said. “They are the heart and soul of tourism, and the reason visitors return to the Okanagan Valley year after year.”
