The Kelowna Acrobatic Gymnastics Team is tumbling into history at the Canadian National Gymnastics Championship.
The event will be held in Gatineau, Quebec, from June 6-9, and marks the first inclusion of acrobatic gymnastics (Acro) in the national competition.
“Highlighting the sport’s growing presence and recognition in B.C. and across Canada,” states a release from the team.
“Their participation represents their dedication and talent and is a significant milestone for acro gymnastics in B.C.
Competing in the Women’s Group are Junelle Sabang, Sarah Lawless, and Erica Stojke. Olivia Clark and Noelle Lano will perform in the Women’s Pair category.
“The Kelowna team is eager to contribute to the sport’s growing popularity and inspire future athletes,” according to the release.
